      Wedding Bells
      Dent — Godden
      St. Lawrence's Church, Forbes,
was the scene of a very pretty wedding
on Saturday, September 20, when Rita
Joan, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
      J. E. Godden, of "Moora Moora,"
Forbes, was joined in holy wedlock to
Lloyd George, fourth son of Mr. and
Mrs. R. B. Dent, of "Kuneitrah,"
      Forbes.
The ceremony was performed by the
      Rev. Father Bongiornio.
The bride, who entered the church
on the arm of her father, chose a
lovely gown of white satin, featuring
a tight fitting bodice with draped
      waistline, long sleeves, sweetheart
      neckline, embroidered with silk and
tiny pearls, and a very full skirt with
long sweeping train. Her full length
embroidered veil was held in position
with a coronet of tulle and orange
blossoms. To complete her attire she
carried a bouquet of sweet peas, stocks,
      carnations and freezias.
      The bridesmaid, who was Miss
Heather Godden, cousin of the bride,
looked charming in a princess style
frock of ice blue taffeta, featuring a
      sweetheart neckline. She wore a
      shoulder-length embroidered tulle veil,
which was held in place with a coronet
of fresh flowers, and carried a bouquet
of pink and mauve sweetpeas and car-
      nations.
The duties of best man were carried
out by Mr. E. Dent, brother of the
      bridegroom.
During the signing of the register,
      "Ave Maria" was beautifully rendered
by Miss Joyce Ryan, friend of the
      bride.
The reception was held at the C.W.A.
Rooms, where over sixty guests were
received by the bride's mother, who
wore a brown satin back crepe frock,
relieved with white and brown acces-
sories. She added a shoulder spray of
      hyacinths. The 'groom's mother, who
assisted Mrs. Godden, chose a grey
tailored suit with navy accessories, and
pinned a spray of mauve sweet peas to
      her suit.
      When leaving on their honeymoon
the bride donned a pale blue flat
crepe frock, trimmed with white bead-
      ing and navy accessories.
      The young couple received many
      lovely and valuable presents, includ-
      ing several cheques.
