      Obituary.
      MR. HUGH CARNEY.
      THE death took place in the Dis-
      trict Hospital on Thursday last
      of Mr. Hugh Carney at the advan-
      ced age of 75 years. The deceased,
      who had been a resident of Stuart
      Town for many years, followed
      farming pursuits until he retired a
      few years ago to live with his
      Fix this textdaughter. He is survived by a
      grown up family of four sons and
      four daughters, his wife having pre-
      deceased him some years ago. The
      daughters are Mesdames H. Bayless,
      K. Hunt, T. Rogers (Stuart Town),
      G. Morphet (Kandos), and the sons
      Messrs Hughie, Richard (Stuart
      Town) Jack (Broken Hill) and
      Patrick (Kandos). The remains
      were encased in a silver mounted
      casket, and laid to rest in the R.C.
      portion of the Stuart Town ceme-
      tery, the service at the graveside
      being read by Father O'Donnell.
      The funeral arrangements were con-
      ducted by Mr. C. J. Shakespeare.
