HOLROYD, Madge Rosalie (nee ROBERTS). - 1916 - 2013 Passed away at Umina Park, April 12, 2013, a dignified and graceful 96 years. Much loved and admired wife of (Leonard) Philip (dec). Adored mother and mother-in-law of Marilyn and John Pidgeon (Armidale, NSW,) Dianna and Clive Abbott (Cairns), Christina (dec) and Leigh Appleyard (Sydney), Deborah and James Senior (Wynyard), Margaret and Gregory Flynn (Sale, Vic). Dearly loved Gran and Great Gran of all her 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. An elegant and dignified lady right to the end. Admired, loved and hugely missed. Grateful thanks to Norwood Outreach and the wonderful staff of Umina Park for their lov ing care, and who be came her second family. My Darling Mother, your final struggle is over and you are now at peace. You have always been a wise, strong and inde pendent woman, tem pered by an open and loving nature. We will love you and miss you always. Marg, Greg, Michael, Samantha and David Flynn. To a diplomat, a sound ing board, an encourag ing voice; ever a reser voir of information, re membered always with love and gratitude. Debbie and James, Ross and Lizzie with Harriet and Bronte, Aidan and Charlene with Jezsara, Tahleika and Aizhana, and Alex and John Senior. My wonderful mother who was admired and loved by all who knew her and has had a long and very fulfilling life, died today in her 97th year. You have always been a source of love, comfort, wisdom and humour for me and my family and there will not be day that we will not miss you. Goodbye my lovely mother. A.I.F. Wedding of Tasmanian Interest
SYDNEY, Friday - Bombardier Phil
Holroyd, of tho 2-10th Battery, 2-5th
Regiment, Ingleburn, to-night married
Miss Madge Roberts. Both bride and
bridegroom carne from Hobart, Tas-
mania. - The ceremony was at the Hun-
ter Bulley Memorial Church, Annandale.
Tho bride, who is aged 23, is a High
School teacher in Launceston. She said
that after the wedding she would re-
turn to Launceston and continue teach-
ing till after the war. She met Bombar-
dier Holroyd in Launceston nearly three
years ago. They were engaged for
two years.
Nurses and soldier friends formed a
guard of honor at the wedding.
Bombardier Holroyd has leave till to-
morrow night for the honeymoon.
