      Obituary.
      DEATH OF MBS. B. PATER-
      SON.
We regret this week to record
the sad death of Mrs. Robert Pater-
      son, of Windsor-street, Bichmond,
      which took place on Thursday
night last. The deceased was a
daughter of Mrs. Sly, senr.,. of
      March-street, Bichmond, and was
beloved by all who had the pleas-
ure of her acquaintance. On Mon-
day deceased complained of being un-
well, when Dr. Helsham was called
in, but all efforts to save her life
      proved unavailing, and she passed
quietly away on Thursday night as
      atated above. Some six months
ago the deceased received a stroke
of paralysis, and lately has suffered
from a kidney trouble, and it was.
no doubt due to the complications
      arising' from these troubles that
hastened her end. The late Mrs.
Paterson leaves a husband and four
little ones to mourn her loss, and
the whole of the district sympa-
thise with them in the sad loss they
      have sustained. The funeral took
place on Friday last, when the re-
mains, which were enclosed in a
      handsome cedar coffin, left her
      late residence, and'were conveyed
to the Church of England, where
the Bev. J. Howell-Price read an
      impressive funeral service. After
      the ceremony the remains were
taken to the burial ground, and
confined to their last resting place.
      Mr. E. Marlin, of March-street,
      carried out the funeral arrange-
      ments.
