The Late Alfred Magick
As briefly reported in our last
issue the death occurred at Arm-
atree of Mr. Alfred Magick, and the
funeral took place at Gilgandra, on
Thursday afternoon. Deceased who
was 74 years of age, was born on
the Talbragar, being the seventh
son of the late James Magick, of
Denison Town, and who was one of
the pioneers, of that district. Deceas-
ed was 14 years of age when his
father died, and shortly after he
came to the Collie district, and was
employed by the late Thomas Jones,
of Merrigal Station. Deceased worked
at Merrigal for many years, and
was later employed by the late John
Jones of Bullagreen Station, as
horse driver, and with the late
James Garbutt carted wool from
Bullagreen and Merrigal Stations to
Nevertire for many seasons. He
married the eldest daughter of the
late Mr. Edward Hughes, of Merrigal
(Sarah Jane), who passed away
about 19 years ago. One daughter,
Mrs. J. B Treasure of Armatree,
survives. Deceased was of a quiet
disposition and was well liked by
all who knew him, and was always
ready to assist anyone in times of
trouble. Two brothers and a sister
also survive, viz., Jim (Gilgandra) ;.
Harry, (Armatree) and Mrs C. Ross
(Gulgong).

MR. ALFRED MAGlCK
The death occurred at his late re
sidence Armatree early on Wednes
day morning of Mr., Alfred Magick,
at the age of 74 years. The body
was Conveyed to Gilgandra by train
yesterday afternoon and interment
will take place this morning, in the
Church of England section of the
local cemetery. His wife (a daugh
ter) of the late Edward Hughes, (of,
Merrigal Station) predeceased him
19 years ago . He is survived by one
daughter, Mrs. Treasure (Anna
tree), and two brothers and one
sister,' viz., Harry (Armatree), Jim
(Gilgandia) and Mrs. Ross (Gul
gong). .
