SLY BLANCH S WILLIAM ANNIE E RICHMOND

The marriage of Miss Blanche Sly, daughter of
Mr and Mrs W Sly, to Mr Henry Powell, of Rich
mond Bottoms, was solemnised at noon on Wed
nesday last in St Peter's Church of England by
the Rev J Howell Price. There were a large
number of townspeople in the Church, the
majority of whom were females. The bride was
given away by her father, and sbe had for her
bridesmaid her sister-Miss Jessie Sly. Mr Geo
Hunt, from Sydney, a friend of Mr Powell acted
as groomsman. The happy couple, on leaving the
Church, received showers of confetti and rice
from well wishing friends, The wedding breakfast
was partaken of at the residence of the bride's
parents, and there was an influential gathering
of leading residents present. Several toasts were
proposed and duly honored, notably that of the
bride and bridegroom, by the Rev J Howell
Price. A large number of useful presents were
received Mr and Mrs Powell left by the after
noon train for Kiama ; many of their friends
assembled at the Railway Station to wish them
happiness and prosperity. A fuller report will

RICHMOND
Sympathy is expressed to Mr, Harry
Powell, of Windsor-street, in the death of
his wife, Mrs. Blanche Sophia Powell, which
took place on Tuesday, at the age of 60
years. Besides the sorrowing widower, a
son and daughter (Jack and Jessie) sur
vive.
