The death occurred at his late resi-
dence at Wattle Park, Judd's Creek, yesterday morning of Mr. Thomas Jones, after an illness of about six
weeks. Deceased, who was 81 years
of age, had resided at Judd's Creek
all his life, and he was born only six
miles from where he resided up to
the time of his death. He was an
old pioneer of the district and had
seen the commencement of the Bur-
raga copper mine. The deceased was
a grazier up to the time of his death.
He used to tell many interesting
things about Ben Hall and his gang,
whom he had seen many times. He is
survived by a wife and five sons, Tho-
mas, Richard, Charles, John and Ed-
gar, all of Judd's Creek, one daughter
Elizabeth (Mrs. J. Godden, of Moora
Moora, Forbes), and two brothers,
Messrs. George Jones, of Keppel St.,
Bathurst and Dick Jones, of Judd's
Creek, one sister, Mrs. J. Shepherd of
Judd's Creek. The sympathy of a
wide circle of friends will be extended
to the sorrowing relatives in their sad
bereavement. His funeral will leave
his late residence at Wattle Park,
Judd's Creek, this day, Friday at 2
p.m. for the Church of England por-
tion of the Jumper's Flat cemetery
reaching the cemetery at 3.30 p.m.
Mr. J. Tangye has charge of the
funeral arrangements. - [S52] x NSW BDM Indexes, NSW Registry of Births Deaths & Marriages, Reg. 4278 Carcoar 1884.
