FATAL CART ACCIDENT -The Cobbora corre-
spondent of the Bathurst Free Press states that on the 22nd
ultimo, while Mr and Mrs Hogden and two little children,
of Buddenbela, Cobbora, were out in a spring cart, the
driver (Mr Hogden) by some mischance drove the horse
too close to a gully, in which the near wheel went, turning
over the cart and throwing the whole out. The two chil-
dren escaped unhurt, the mother's knee was seriously hurt,
the father, being a very stout man and a cripple, was
thrown violently to the earth, the cart coming on him
Theywere conveyed back to their residence where Hog-
den was placed in bed. He was suffering great pain, and
he expired about 9am on Monday. Deceased at first did
not think the accident as serious, but no doubt the severe
shock to his aged frame accelerated his death.
