Mr. J. N. Ryan.
On Wednesday morning, the 9th inst., at
his late residence, Corona Avenue, Waver-
ley, Mr. John Newman Ryan, beloved hus-
band of Teresa Ryan, passed away peace
fully at the age of 66 years. Deceased was
a native of County Westmeath, Ireland,
and had resided in this State for about 40
years. He leaves behind him a sorrowing
widow, two sons and two daughters viz.,.
John K. (E.E. branch, P.M.G. 's Depart
ment), Newman (on active service), and
Misses Margaret and Helena Ryan. A Re-
quiem Mass was celebrated for the repose
of his soul on the 10th inst., the body
then being taken to Rookwood for inter-
ment. During his illness he was attended
to by Rev. Father J. S. Joyce, O.F.M. De
ceased, who was a practical Catholic in all
respects, and had, by by his extreme good
nature and kindliness held the esteem of all
who knew him, was a brother of Rev. Fa
ther P. M. Ryan, P.P., of Ballina, and also
a nephew of the late Father M. H.
Ryan, of Camden. Much sympathy is felt
for his sorrowing wife and family. — R.I.P.

We regret to record the death of Mr. Peter Ryan,
which which took place at his son-in law's residence, John
Deniff, Pangee-street, Nyngan, on October 27th, at
the ripe age of 73 years. He was father of the Rev.
P. M, Ryan, Sydney. and Mr. J. N. Ryan. Cowra. of
Mr.. P. R. Ryan and Mrs. Deniff, of this town, and
of Mrs. Percill, of Sydney. His funeral took place
on Monday afternoon last, and was followed to the
cemetary by a large number of the residents of ths
town ; the burial service was concluded by Rev.
Father Curran. Much sympathy is given to the
family at their irrepairable loss.
