- [S2865] Wellington Times, Mon 24 Jul 1905 Page 4 OBITUARY.
Deceased was born on 23rd June,
1840, and therefore yesterday was
both the date of his death and his 65th
birthday. He was an old colonist, and
much of his time was spent in the
hotel-keeping business, he having con-
ducted several hotels, at Dapto and
other towns. He is survived by his
wife and several sons and daughters.
Since his son, Mr. P. J. Curry, took
over the Grand Hotel some time ago
from Mr. T. McCormick, the deceased
and his wife had been residents of
Wellington, and both have in the time
gained the respect and liking of those
with whom they came in contact
Much sympathy is felt for the relatives
in their bereavement. The remains
will be interred in the Rookwood
Catholic cemetery to-morrow, being
sent down from here to-night for that
purpose. Mr. J. Thompson has charge
of the funeral arrangements at this
end.
