OBERON NEWS (From our own Correspondent) Obituary: After a short illness there passed away at her late resi- dence 'Brisbane Valley,' Mrs. Mary Curry, the relict of the late John Moore Curry, at the ripe age of 82. She had lived in the district a score of years, having come from Burragorang, and was well and widely respected. Her funeral took place at the Catho- lic cemetery on Sunday last, where the Rev. F. C. O'Reilly read the buri- al service. She is survived by a large family of sons and daughter viz. William, John, Patrick, Daniel, Richard, Thomas, and Catherine. The funeral was carried out by Mr. C. Reed, of Bathurst. - [S2834] The Catholic Press, Thursday 25 November 1926.
The death occurred on Friday afternoon,
19th inst., after a brief illness, at her late
residence, 'Apnie, ' near Oberon, of Mrs.
Mary Curry, aged 82 years. Deceased, who
was well and -favourably known throughout
the district, and much esteemed for- her
many charitable acts, was a sterling Catho
lic and a generous supporter of all local
movements. A large grown-up family of
six sons and one daughter are left to mourn
the loss of a kind mother. The funeral on
Sunday afternoon to the Catholic portion of
the local general cemetery moved from the
Catholic Church, Oberon, where Rev. Father
O'Reilly, P.P., read the prayers and also at
tended at the grave. The number of sym
pathisers who came long distances to pay
their last respects bore testimony to the
esteem in which the deceased was held by
all denominations. — R.I.P. - [S19] Marriage Certificate.
